This first lot comprises a pair of medals in their original boxes with paperwork.
The first is a bronze Sea Gallantry Medal (SGM).
These were first issued in 1855 up to 1989, and were awarded to British subjects or foreigners who displayed gallantry whilst serving on British ships.

The second is a bronze medal from the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society.
Also issued in gold and silver, these medals were given to people who put their own life
at a great risk in order to save or attempt to save someone else’s life.

The next lot is a Territorial War Border Regiment group comprising three medals.
The first medal in this group is this Territorial Efficiency Medal, awarded for long service (at least 12 years) in the Territorial Army of the UK, the Indian Volunteer Forces and Colonial Auxiliary Forces.
Second is the British War Medal in silver.
Approved in 1919, it was issued to officers and men of British and Imperial forces.
It was produced in both silver and bronze.

The final medal in this trio is the “Territorial War Medal for Voluntary Service Overseas 1914-19”.
There were just over 33,000 of these issued, in comparison to over 6,300,000
of the above British war medal issued.
